Buying a bike box — common questions
How much does a second-hand bike box cost?
A second-hand ShokBox Pro from our rental fleet is £700, collected from the local bike shop that stocks it. If you’ve hired that exact box in the last year, what you paid for the hire comes off the price (up to £125).
Can I buy the bike box I just hired?
Yes. Enter the email address you booked with and your hire payment is deducted automatically at checkout — then the box is yours to keep.
What condition are the fleet boxes in?
Excellent — and keeping them that way is exactly why we sell them. We recycle the fleet: boxes are sold on at a discount and replaced with brand-new ones, so every box we rent stays in the best condition possible. Each box is checked and maintained by the bike shop that stocks it, and every listing shows the exact number of trips that box has completed. You buy a specific box, you’re welcome to inspect it at the hub before you pay, and it comes with ShokBox’s full lifetime manufacturer warranty.
How long does a brand new ShokBox take to arrive?
Brand new ShokBox Pros are £849 plus £40 home delivery, in your choice of eight colours, and are usually dispatched within 5 working days.
Do the boxes come with a warranty?
Yes. Every box we sell — second-hand from the fleet or brand new — comes with ShokBox’s full manufacturer warranty, which is a lifetime warranty.
